Vaccinating Your Child
Adhering to the American Academy of Pediatrics immunization schedule (for newborns, children, and teens), we strive to prevent and protect your child from vaccine-preventable diseases.
Vaccination Saves Lives
Immunization is one of the single greatest advances in preventive medicine and an essential part of your child's health and care.
We at Sound Pediatrics follow the immunization schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as closely as possible for every patient in our office with few exceptions depending on individual's special medical needs. The schedule recommended by the AAP is designed to maximize the opportunities to protect children from vaccine-preventable diseases. We highly recommend you review vaccination related information such as the schedules, screening questions and after shot instructions listed below prior to Well-Child Check-Up Visits.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding vaccinations. More information, such as individual vaccine information statements for specific vaccines in different languages, can be found at www.cdc.gov/vaccines/index.html.
